ALTAMONT -- Altamont sent Teutopolis home with a loss in two games, 25-22, 25-15 in volleyball action Tuesday evening.

Kopplin led the Altamont charge with seven digs, five kills and four stuff blocks. White and Dorr had two aces each while White finished with five kills. M. Ohnesorge and Wendling had five assists each. The Indians improve to 7-14 on the season.

Altamont also nabbed the junior varsity match 21-25, 25-22, 25-15 and won three games in freshman play.

At Strasburg

Stewardson-Strasburg captured a close victory over Ramsey. Ramsey won the opener 25-23 but the Comets came back with 25-17, 25-16 counts to take the victory. The Comets improve to 16-8 overall.

Kelsie Walden had 21 assists for the winners. Kendall Knop and Elizabeth Gratz led in aces with five each. Knop and Brittani Tabbert had eight kills each. Knop led in digs with 13.

Ramsey won the junior varsity match 25-22, 25-9. Stew-Stras drops to 1-13.

Neoga came calling and took home a victory over Dieterich in three games. Dieterich won the opener 25-17 but Neoga came back with 25-12, 25-21 counts.

Leading Dieterich were Shelby Wending with 10 points, three aces and 15 assists; Tori Hardiek with 10 digs and Candace Niemerg with 15 kills and three blocks. The Maroons fall to 7-12.

In junior varsity action, Neoga won 25-20, 25-20. Dieterich drops to 5-15.

Newton beat Flora in two games, 25-16, 25-23. The Eagles had 13 assists from Megan Jansen. Morgan Swingler led in digs with eight. Keidrah Hardiek had nine kills and three aces.

Cumberland fell to Robinson in three games. The Maroons won the opener 25-15 but Cumberland came back with a 25-23 count. Robinson then pulled out the match win 25-16.

Kylee Hannahs had nine kills, 20 digs, an ace and an assist to lead the Maroons. Robinson improves to 16-5.

Cumberland was led by Kassidy Hunt with 16 kills, seven points and 17 digs. Kamisha Holsapple had 28 assists and seven points. Jordan Plummer had 17 digs.
