Megan Herboth Honored by AVCA

ORLANDO, Fla. -- UCF Assistant Director of Athletic Communications, Megan Herboth, has been honored for her work by the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA).

Herboth, the daughter of Shelly and Frank Herboth of Altamont, was recently named AVCA Southeast Region Division I SID of the Year. She was one of 10 regional honorees.

"Megan Herboth has been an indispensable part of each of the programs she works with," UCF head vovlleyball coach Todd Dagenais said. "The amount of unselifh time, effort and personal attention to detail she has given to her programs have allowed them to shine on a national stage. She is very much a member of the teams she takes care of. The student-athletes and coaching staffs of those teams view her as such."

The regional honors were announced as part of the AVCA's 2014-15 Grant Burger Media Awards release.

Herboth recently completed her first year as Assistant Director of Athletic Communications at UCF. She is the primary communications contact for volleyball, softball, men's tennis and rowing for the Knights.
