St. Elmo/Brownstown Advances To Regional Championship

The lone area junior high volleyball regional on tap Wednesday evening was the Class 8-2A Effingham St. Anthony Regional.

St. Elmo/Brownstown advanced by beating host St. Anthony 25-11, 25-6 in the opening match.

In the second contest, Edwards County (Albion) downed Altamont 25-10, 25-12.

St. Elmo/Brownstown will now take on Edwards County today at 6 p.m. for the regional championship.

Class 8-1A Stewardson-Strasburg Regional

Effingham Sacred Heart vs. Martinsville, 5 p.m.

Class 8-3A Robinson Nuttall Regional

Jasper County vs. Robinson Nuttall, 6 p.m.

Class 8-3A Sullivan Regional

Teutopolis vs. Shelbyville Moulton, 6 p.m.
