EHS Girls, Boys Compete In Track Invitationals

TROY -- Efifngham High School's girls track team competed in the Troy Triad Invitational Friday.

Winning the meet was Normal University 113 followed by Edwardsville 111, Cahokia 103, Mascoutah 80, Chatham Glenwood 61, Marion 54, Belleville West 52, Waterloo 51, Alton 44, Troy Triad 44, Collinsville 32, Granite City 28, Clinton 26, Effingham 25, Bethalto Civic Memorial 16, Harrisburg 13 and Springfield Lanphier 5.

Effingham's Jessica Larsen won the 800 meters with a time of 2:24.88 minutes.

Rylea Hodge finished fourth in the long jump at 4.95 meters.

The 1600 relay team captured fifth place in 4:22.08 minutes while the 3200 relay team, also fifth in 10:29.83.
