Neoga Raises $5,000 for All-Weather Track at Trivia Night

Neoga Booster Club's Fourth Annual Trivia Night was a huge success, making $5,000 from trivia, concessions, merchandise and cash donations Saturday evening at Neoga Middle School's gymnasium.

"A special thank you goes out to Modern Woodmen Adult Club #8061 for their matching $2,500 donation which made our grand total, $5,000," said Julie Williamson. "All proceeds go toward our track. Many thanks to the 31 teams who signed up to play and the 50 volunteers who kept the night moving at a fast pace. What an amazing turnout."

First place went to The Squids from Altamont which included team members Scott Beal, Kurt Becker, Jon Oliver, Brian Gilbert, Rob Harder, Robert Harder and Rick Seagle.

Second place finishers were the Whiz Kids from Effingham which included team members Kimberly Tarrant, Andrea Rennels, Bill Grimes, Larry Holle, Mary Holle and Millie Lange.

Third place went to We Came for the Food from Sigel which included team members Stacey Walk, Brian Walk, Melody Smith, Lance Vonderheide, Derek Walk, Nick Walk, Greg Walk and Rick Walk.

Jason Hanson won the half time Head and Tails game. Door prizes went to Aaron Cline, Anita Breeden, Craig Frantz, Amy Yurs (Neoga IGA), Brenda Evans (Montgomery Auto Repair), Jessi Abernathy, Bridgette Roderick, Brian Gilbert, Dave Sudkamp, Brenda Haskett, Sandy Szatkowski, Pam Heaton, Shay Banning, Sally Dickerson, Jenny Ramert, Jessi Bradley, Marty Gibson, Brian Heaton, Sarah Greider (Sav Mor Pharmacy), Carol Zitek (Casey’s), Zach Letezia, Dawn Johnson (Cumberland Auto Supply) and coffee mugs went to Stacey Walk and Phil Fearday.
