Shelbyville Wins Boys, Girls St. Anthony Track Meets

Shelbyville claimed boys and girls track meets over Effingham St. Anthony Tuesday.

In the boys dual meet, Shelbyville won with 81 points followed by the Bulldogs with 54.

St. Anthony had nine first place finishes in the meet. The Bulldogs won the 3200 relay with a time of 8:54.5 minutes, claimed the 800 relay in 1:36.64 and the 1600 relay in 3:43.28.

Wallace was a winner in the discus with a throw of 122 feet, 4 inches. Faber claimed the 3200, there was no time listed. Elder took the 110 hurdles in 16.14 seconds. Nuxoll was a winner in the 800 in 2:22.18. Kingery won the 400 in 57.26 and Dust captured the 1600 in 4:55.38.

In the girls meet Shelbyville was the team winner with 64 points followed by Tuscola 63 and St. Anthony 44.

The Bulldogs had four first place finishes, three of those in relay events.

St. Anthony claimed the 3200 relay with a time of 11:05.5 minutes.They won the 800 relay in 1:56.38 and the 1600 in 4:31.01. The lone individual victory was Rozene in the 1600 with a time of 6:29.86.
