EHS Girls Sixth In Track Invitational, Boys Compete at Winston Brown

CHATHAM -- Effingham High School competed in the Chatham Glenwood Titan Girls Track Invitational Friday.

Chatham Glenwood won the meet with 121 points followed by Springfield 106, Troy Triad 106, Tolono Unity 82, Charleston 49, Effingham 42, Alton Marquette Catholic 40, Springfield Lanphier 39, Jerseyville Jersey 36, Springfield Sacred Heart-Griffin 27, Jacksonville 22, Lincoln 14 and Taylorville 2.

Effingham's Miranda Fox captured first place in the pole vault with a vault of 8 feet, 6 inches. She also finished third in the 800 with a time of 2:35.42 minutes.

The other first place finish for the Hearts was the 1600 relay team that won in 4:22.38 minutes. EHS finished fifth in the 400 relay in 53.60 seconds.

Shelby Rieman took third in the high jump at 5 feet.
