Junior High State Track Results

EAST PEORIA -- Altamont captured third place in the Class 7A Girls State Track Meet during the weekend. Altamont finished with 26 points while Teutopolis finished tied for fourth with 23.

Brownstown/St. Elmo finished tied for 29th with six points while St. Anthony and Sigel St. Michael tied for 64th with 1.5 each.

Top five finishes in the seventh-grade girls were Altamont's Grace Nelson second in 100 hurdles in 16.69 seconds while T-town's Danielle Sarchet was fourth in 17.06. Nelson also took a fourth place finish in the long jump at 16 feet, 2 1/4 inches.

Altamont's Kalianna Becker finished second in the high jump at 4 feet, 10 inches. Remington Miller was fourth in the pole vault at 7 feet, 3 inches.

T-town took fourth in the 800 relay in 1:58.28 minutes. The Shoes' Olivia Meinhart was second in the pole vault at 7 feet, 9 inches.

Brownstown/St. Elmo's Sydney Stine finished third in the discus with a throw of 80 feet, 11 inches.

In the eighth-grade girls meet, T-town finished 10th with 15 points while Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City took 11th with 14. Altamont and Sigel St. Michael tied for 29th with 7.5 each. Neoga was tied for 36th with five. St. Anthony and Stewardson-Strasburg tied for 54th with one each.

CHBC's Tatyana Duckwitz took fourth in the 100 in 13.07 seconds and was third in the long jump at 17 feet, 5 inches.Duckwitz also captured third place in the long jump at 17 feet, 5 inches.

Sigel St. Michael's Kaitlyn Schumacher finished fourth in the 200 in 27.46.

T-town was fourth in the 800 relay in 1:55.59 minutes.

Altamont's Ellie McManway finished fourth in the high jump at five feet while Neoga's Gracie Gresens finished fourth at 5-0.

In the seventh-grade boys state meet, T-town took fourth place as a team with 28 points. St. Anthony finished ninth with 16 while CHBC was tied for 12th with 13. Stewardson-Strasburg finished 23rd with nine and Altamont was 24th with 8.5.

T-town had a state champion in the 800 relay with a time of 1:49.63 minutes. Team members were Caleb Bloemer, Adam Lustig, Easton Rodgers and Logan Roepke. Altamont finished fourth at 1:51.89 and Stew-Stras was fifth at 1:52.44.

T-town took third in the 1600 in 4:08.30.

CHBC's Kenny Robbins captured second place in the 400 in 57.48 seconds.

The area pretty well owned the pole vault as T-town's Logan Roepke was second at 9-6, St. Anthony's Max Sager third at 9-6, CHBC's Jarrett Thompson fourth at 8-9 and T-town's Ivan Wernsing fifth at 8-3.

Sager captured third in the 200 in 25.64 seconds.

Stewardson-Strasburg's Jordan Wittenberg finished fourth in the 800 in 2:17.92 minutes.

T-town finished fifth in the eighth-grade boys state meet with 22 points while Altamont was ninth with 17. CHBC tied for 18th with 12. Neoga and Sigel St. Michael tied for 36th with four each.

Altamont took second in the 800 relay in 1:41.24 minutes while T-town was third in 1:42.17. Altamont's 1600 relay team took second in 3:53.63.

Once again, the area was strong in the pole vault as T-town's Kayden Althoff finished third at 10-6 while Luke Koester was fourth at 10-0. Neoga's Mitch Moran took fifth at 9-3.

CHBC's Daniel Lucas fnished second in the shot with a heave of 45 feet, 1 inch. Jadon Robertson finished fifth in the 110 hurdles in 16.19 seconds.

T-town's Sam Bushur was fourth in the shot at 43-7.
