Shelbyville Wins Quadrangular Boys Track Meet

SHELBYVILLE -- Shelbyville High School captured a quandrangular boys track meet Thursday with 181 points followed by Patoka 34, Cowden-Herrick 23 and Brownstown/St. Elmo 11.

The Rams won 13 events. Brett Pefier claimed the 200 in 23.62 seconds and the long jump at 19 feet, 6 inches. Bart Kennell won the shot with a throw of 46 feet, 7 inches and the discus at 125-10. Luke Foltz also claimed two events, the 300 hurdles in 46.21 and the pole vault at 11 feet.

Kemme was a winner for Cowden-Herrick in the 800 in 2:23.02 minutes. The Hornets also won the 800 relay in 1:48.67.
