NEWTON -- Effingham Junior High School set a new sixth-grade track record at the Jasper County triangular boys seventh-grade track meet at Newton Monday.

The sixth-grade boys 1600 relay team of Cameron Kalber, Parker Siner, Tate Niebrugge and Clayton Cramsey won in 4:45.36, breaking the old record of 4:57 turned in by Lucas Hagler, Layn Reynolds, Kendall Ballman and Zach Lee in 2013.
