The Teutopolis Junior High seventh grade girls’ track team captured first place Saturday with a score of 95 points at the eight-team Little Trojan Invitational held at Charleston track.

The four squads together placed fifth overall with a total of 188.5 points. They were paced by the seventh grade girls who scored 95 points, eighth grade girls scored 39 points finishing fifth in their division, eighth grade boys scored 32 points finishing fifth, and the seventh grade boys scored 22.5 points finishing eighth.
 
First place finishers for the seventh grade girls team were the 4x200 relay made up of Lanae Koester Morgan Mette, Julia Hardiek and Elizabeth Will, Emma Deters in the shot put, Elizabeth Will in the high jump, and Morgan Mette in pole vault. Also scoring for the team were Julia Schmid, second in hurdles, Morgan Mette, second in the 100m, Lanae Koester, sixth in the 100m, 4x100 relay consisting of Julia Schmid, Ali Kingery, Madi Hoene, and Logan Blankenship placed third, Rebecca Habing, second in the 400m and fifth in the 800m, Julia Hardiek, second the 200m, 4x400m relay team of Julia Hardiek, Elizabeth Will, Morgan Mette, and Rebecca Habing finished fourth, Emma Deters, second in the discus, and Caitlin McKibben, fifth in discus.
 
The eighth grade girls finished fifth in their division. The 4x200m relay made up of Lauren Hemmen, Marianna Hemmen, Nikki Wellbaum, and Lauren Wessel took second, Marianna Hemmen also finished third in the 200M, and third in pole vault, Nikki Wellbaum finished fifth in the 100m, the 4x100m relay team of Ciara Roepke, Claire Bushur, Diana Mossman, and Karsyn Mette, finished fifth, Claire Bushur also finished fourth in the 400m, Diana Mossman took sixth in the 200M, 4x400m relay of Karsyn Mette, Lauren Hemmen, Marianna Hemmen, and Claire Bushur finished fifth, Lauren Wessel, fourth in high jump, and Karsyn Mette, fourth in long jump.

Scoring for the seventh grade boys were, Jarrett Hardiek, third in the mile and fourth in the 800m, Noah Probst, fourth in the mile and sixth in the high jump, 4x200m relay team of Tyson Zerrusen, Alex Thoele, Bryce Ruholl, Donovan Kitten, finished 6th, and the 4x100m Relay team of  Lucas Drees, Jarrett Hardiek, Kendall Zerrusen, Kyele Mossman finished sixth, Lucas Drees, fifth in the 200m, 4x400m relay of Kyele Mossman, Tyson Zerrusen, Kenall Zerrusen, Noah Probst took fifth, and Kendall Zerrusen sixth in the long jump.

Top finishers for the eighth grade boys include, Will Schlink, first in pole vault, Jake Wente, second in discus, Jacob Scmidt, sixth in the mile, Evan Blievernicht, fourth in the 800m, 4x200 relay team of Jesse Zerrusen, Andy Isley, Even Blievernicht, Will Schlink, placed fourth, and Jason Kowalski finished third in pole vault.
