(Flushing, NY) -- Tuesday was all about more success for the favorites at the U.S. Open.  Top-seed Serena Williams rolled to a love-love win over Carla Suarez Navarro to advance to the semifinals. Williams says the weather elements played a factor in her match.

Williams will meet China's Li Na, who moved past Ekaterina Makarova in three sets. Second-seed Victoria Azarenka was also successful with a three-set win over Ana Ivanovic. "Vika" will take on Daniela Hantuchova in the quarters. On the men's side of the draw, top-seed Novak Djokovic cruised past Marcel Granollers and into the quarters where he will play Mikhail Youzhny, who defeated Lleyton Hewitt. Andy Murray needed four sets, but got by Denis Istomin and will match up with Stanislas Wawrinka in the quarterfinals.
