Andy Murray’s status is unclear for the Australian Open after the British player tested positive for Covid-19 Thursday, just days before the three-time Grand Slam champion was set to leave for Australia.

The Australian Open, which was delayed three weeks because of Covid restrictions, is set to begin February 8. However, players must spend 14 days in quarantine once they arrive, and players who previously tested positive must prove they are recovered and no longer infectious.
