Teutopolis High School handed Effingham St. Anthony an 8-1 tennis loss in action Monday.

The Wooden Shoes picked up five of the six singles matches. Macy Probst was a winner at No. 1, 4-6, 6-3, 10-5. Grace Hoene took No. 2, 5-7, 6-1, 11-9. Isabelle Hemmen was a winner at No. 3, 6-3, 6-4. Carley Habing took No. 4, 1-6, 6-0, 10-5. Lauran Schmidt claimed  No. 5, 6-1, 6-2. Lexi Will then finished the sweep, 7-5, 6-4.

St. Anthony's lone point came at No. 5 singles where Laura Schmidt was a 6-1, 6-2 winner.

In doubles, Probst and I. Hemmen combined to win, 6-4, 6-3. Will and Kenna Koester took No. 2, 4-6, 6-2, 10-6. No. 3 went to Hoene and O. Hemmen, 6-0, 7-6 (4).

At Maroa

Effingham St. Anthony blanked Maroa-Forsyth, 9-0 in Saturday tennis action.

Allison Kowalke won the No. 1 singles spot, 6-1, 6-1. Emily Kowalke took No. 2, 6-1, 6-2.

Caroline McDevitt claimed the No. 3 spot, 6-2, 6-2 while Ali Adams was the winner at No. 4, 6-2, 6-3

Laura Schmidt took the No. 5 spot, 6-4, 6-0. Peyton Sehy was a winner at No. 6, 6-2, 6-0.

In doubles action, A. Kowalke and McDevitt combined to win the No. 1 spot, 6-1, 6-2. Sehy and Karolewicz were 6-3, 6-2 winners at No. 2. Emily Kowalke and A. Kowalke was a 6-2, 6-4 winner to sweep for the Bulldogs.

The Green Wave claimed four of the six singles matches. Effingham's Gracie Kroenlein won at No. 5, 6-3, 1-6, 11-9. Madison Mapes took the No. 6 spot, 6-2, 6-4.

In doubles play,  Effingham's Riley Arend and Mapes won the No. 2 spot, 7-5, 2-6, 13-11. Kroenlein paired with Aila Woomer and won at No. 3, 6-2, 6-4.
