Mossman Lone Area Player Active at State Tournament

Saturday is the final day of the boys state tennis tournament, and Kyele Mossman of Teutopolis is still active.

After winning his first three matches, Mossman lost his first match of the tournament Friday, 6-4, 6-4, to Michael Rooney of LaGrange Park Nazareth Academy. Mossman will now play in the quarterfinals of the consolation bracket at Rolling Meadows.

The Teutopolis doubles team of Seth Probst and Jacob Pals saw their run come to an end Friday with a loss to Sener Gunsel and Aeneas Hines of Chicago St. Ignatius College Prep, 9-8 (2). Probst and Pals finished 3-2 during their time at State.

The Shoes' other doubles team of Mitchell Deters and Alex Deters lost their first two matches on Thursday.

Effingham's doubles team of Parker Siner and Ben Donsbach went 1-2 on Thursday and were eliminated from further play.
