Bulldogs, Shoes Claim Tennis Wins

Greenville claimed the top three singles matches but the Bulldogs picked up the bottom two and took both doubles victories.

Henry Kemme handed Cainen Grove a 6-3, 6-2 loss at No. 4 while Hunter Stephens took the No. 5 spot with a 6-2, 7-6 win over Evan Oakley.

In doubles, Noah Tegeler and Will Kabbes put together 6-4, 6-2 wins for the match while Michael Kaldas and Kemme took the No. 2 spot, 6-2, 5-7, 10-3.

At St. Anthony

At Teutopolis

Teutopolis claimed a 6-3 win over Mattoon in tennis competition Friday.

The Wooden Shoes took four of the six singles matches. Kyele Mossman  downed his opponent, 6-1, 6-2 while Jacob Pals was a 6-2, 6-0 winner. Alex Deters won at No. 4, 6-1, 7-5. Mitch Deters took the next spot, 7-6, then lost 6-1 before winning 10-6.

In doubles play, Mattoon won the top spot but the Shoes took the next two. Alex and Mitch Deters won easily, 6-1, 6-1 while Mossman and Clint Apke picked up the No. 3 spot, 6-3, 6-2.
