CASEY -- Effingham High School claimed an 8-1 victory over Casey-Westfield in tennis action Thursday.

The Hearts nabbed five singles matches as Lauryn Douthit won 6-3, 6-1 while Skyler Schafer claimed a 6-1, 6-2 victory. Riley Arend went 6-1, 6-0 and Caroline Kull 6-4, 6-2. Riley Seachrist finished out with a 6-0, 6-4 victory at No. 6.

In doubles, the Hearts swept. Funneman and Douthit were 6-4, 6-2 winners. Schafer and C. Kull combined to win 6-2, 7-6. Arend and Lydia Kull took the final match 6-3, 6-4.
