TEUTOPOLIS -- Teutopolis High School blanked Effingham in tennis competition Tuesday, 9-0.

The Wooden Shoes swept through the singles play as Kyele Mossman took the top spot, 6-2, 6-3. Joseph Esker won at No. 2 by blanking his opponent 6-0, 6-0. Noah Pals won 6-4, 7-5 at No. 3, Alex Probst went 6-1, 6-1 at No. 4. Alex Meinhart claimed a victory 6-0, 6-0 and Jacob Pals won to finish out the sweep 6-1, 6-1.

In doubles, N. Pals and A. Probst combined to win 6-1, 6-2. J. Pals and Seth Probst won 6-2, 6-0 at No. 2. Meinhart and Corey Schabbing took the final spot, 7-5, 7-5.

The Hearts drop to 2-5 on the season. T-town improves to 8-1.
