EHS, St. Anthony, T-town Blank Tennis Opponents

Effingham St. Anthony, Effingham and Teutopolis all claimed 9-0 victories over tennis opponents Tuesday evening.

The Hearts traveled to Vandalia and defeated the Vandals with Chloe Funneman, Lauryn Douthit, Kyra Bannister, Skyler Schafer, Shania Cornell and Taylor Boyle picking up singles wins.

Funneman and Douthit won the No. 1 doubles while Bannister and Schafer combined at No. 2 and Emily Kelly and Krystine Blackwell took the No. 3 spot.

St. Anthony hosted Paris with Emilee Mossman, Kelly Rentfrow, Claire Wortman, Megan Hodge, Madison McWhorter and Mary Claire Wegman taking singles wins.

Rentfrow and Wortman combined to win at No. 1 doubles. Mossman and Wegman took the two spot and Hodge and Maryann Saba claimed the final doubles position.

Salem came calling and Teutopolis took the 9-0 win to improve to 5-1 on the season.

In singles play, Lauren Hemmen, Audra Breer, Julia Hardiek, Alli Brumleve, Nicole Deters and Diana Mossman were winners.

Christa Schwinke and Breer won at No. 1 doubles while Brumleve and Mossman took the second victory. Katie Lustig and Logan Blankenship nabbed the third spot.
