Shoes Third at Metamora Tennis Tourney

Teutopolis High School finished third at the Metamora Tennis Tournament Saturday.

The Wooden Shoes edged Peoria Notre Dame 3-2. Andy Mersman and Kyele Mossman claimed singles wins while Joseph Esker and Alex Meinhart combined to win at the No. 3 doubles.

T-town then fell to Metamora by a 3-2 count. T-town captured two doubles matches as Trevor Lee and Jacob Mette combined at No. 1 to win while Noah Pals and Alex Probst took the No. 2 spot.

T-town then downed Carbondale 3-2 to finish the tournament 2-1. Mossman won at No. 2 singles 6-1, 6-1. T-town then took the No. 1 doubles with Lee and Mette combined to win 3-6, 6-1, 16-14. Esker and Meinhart took the  No. 3 spot 6-1, 6-4.
