Bulldogs Finish Sixth at Cyclone Tennis Invitational

CHAMPAIGN -- Effingham St. Anthony High School captured sixth place at the Champaign Cyclone Tennis Invitational during the weekend.

Niles North A won the meet with 40 points followed by Sacred Heart Griffin A 26, Normal U High 26, Mattoon 23, Bloomington Central Catholic 19, St. Anthony 18, Niles North B 16, Quincy Notre Dame 15, Alton 12, Lincoln 8, Rochester 7, Chatham Glenwood 5, Sacred Heart Griffin B 4, Decatur Eisenhower 2 and Jacksonville 1.

St. Anthony's Maryann Saba and Madison McWhorter took fourth place at the No. 2 doubles. Kelly Rentfrow and Mary Claire Wegman finished tied for fifth at No. 1 doubles. In singles play, Makenzie Koenig tied for fifth at the No. 3 spot. Megan Hodge also finished tied for fifth at the No. 2 singles spot.
