Heat 14U Claim Win in NSA World Series

The Effingham Heat 14U team picked up a victory in opening round play of the NSA World Series at EastSide Centre in Peoria Tuesday.

The Heat edged the Michigan Bulldogs 4-3 in eight innings. The Heat got the bases loaded and the winning run was walked in.
 
The Heat is one of 205 teams competing in the World Series. Members of the team include Jenna Wright, Parker Corder, Shayna Phillips Hope Collier, Jenna Woltman, Camryn Heureman, Olivia Hickey, Reagan Drees, Alexis Sullivan, Hannah Dulaney and Kaylee Tonn.

The team will be back in action at 6 p.m. today.
