Junior High Softball Results -- Sept. 1

The Falcons took a 6-4 opening inning lead then held a 9-5 lead after two. South Central tallied five in the third, one in the fourth and two in the fifth.

Emily Rose led the way for the winners in hitting with two singles, a double and an RBI. Maddie Peddicord had three singles and two RBI while Jamalyn Logan had two singles and four RBI, Zoey Feldhake a single and double and Kinlee Thompson a triple and an RBI. Amelia Montes had two RBI.

South Central improved to 5-0 in the National Trail Conference, 12-3 overall.

Dieterich was led by Michl with two doubles and two RBI and Huber with two singles and an RBI.

Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg tallied a 10-5 victory over Brownstown/St. Elmo Wednesday.

WSS took a 2-0 first inning lead then had a five-run second.

The winners had seven hits led by Tingley with a solo home run, Wascher with two singles and an RBI, Spour with a double and D. Wetherell with a single and three RBI. Beals and Friese also had an RBI each.

Friese picked up the win going three innings allowing one hit, two walks and five strikeouts.

BSE was led by D. Willams and D. Rogers with a double each. Willms had an RBI. C. Voelker had a single and drove in a run.

At Brownstown

At Teutopolis

Mattoon had 10 hits and tallied a 13-3 win over Teutopolis in seven innings Wednesday. The Wooden Shoes also committed eight errors.

Mattoon took a 2-0 first ininng lead but the Wooden Shoes came back to move ahead 3-2 in the third. Mattoon then tallied four in the fourth and that was the game.

T-town was led in hitting by Alyssa Tipton with three singles, Kylie Borries with a single and two RBI and Mallory Bloemer with a single and an RBI.

At Teutopolis
