Altamont Junior High School captured a 9-5 victory over Nokomis in softball competition Thursday.

 

"Grace Lemke pitched great and got the win in the circle," said Altamont Coach Lindsay VanBlaricum. "She had 15 strikeouts."

Libby Reardon led Altamont with a single and double. Skylie Klein, Ella Nelson and Presley Siebert all had a hit each.

In B action, Kennedi Schultz, Kaylee Lurkins, Justyce Higgs and Jenna Kollman had a hit each for Altamont.

 

At Salem

Salem tallied an 11-0 victory over South Central in action Thursday.

Salem took a 1-0 opening inning lead and finished the game in the fifth via the 10-run rule, 11-0.

South Central had two hits, singles by Rose and Thompson. South Central drops to 7-5 on the season.

At Salem

At Teutopolis

Teutopolis broke a 2-2 tie with two runs in the second and never trailed again in a 10-6 win over Okaw Valley Thursday.

The Shoes had nine hits and were aided by six Okaw Valley errors.

R. Kemme had a single, double and an RBI while K. Frese had a triple and an RBI and K. Zerrusen a double. C. Probst drove in two runs and had a single.

A. Tipton picked up the win on the mound going five innings allowing seven hits, four runs, six walks and striking out seven.
