ICA All-State Softball Teams Named

Area players made the Illinois Coaches Association All-State Softball Teams.

Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg, Effingham St. Anthony and Cumberland players were named.

Garnering First Team honors were Mackenzi Tabbert and Megan Schlechte from WSS.

Other First Team members were Claire Maulding (Casey-Westfield), Emily Crompton (Centralia Christ Our Rock Lutheran), Lauren Harris (Woodlawn), Sydney Baalman (Calhoun), Katie Nevdal (Durand), Jenna Green (Eastland), Allie Whittington (Elverado), Hanna Hicks (Glasford Illini Bulffs), Alexandria King (Goreville), Kelsey Ray (Goreville), Makenna Tkach (Marquette Academy), Sophie Schomer (Newark), Tessa Janecke (Orangeville) and Lauren Harris (Woodlawn).

Area Second Team members were Malorie Craig (Clay City/North Clay) and Aireka Burke (Oblong).

Two St. Anthony, two Cumberland and two WSS players were named to the Third Team. The Bulldogs had Katie Kabbes and Allie Day chosen.

The Pirates' Liberty Dunaway and Madison Hendrix were chosen.

Windsor/Stew-Stras' Carson Cole and Calla Roney earned the honor.

Also Oblong's Abby Dart was picked.

Several Apollo Conference players were picked to the Class 3A All-State teams.

Mount Zion's Dayna Kennedy, a senior catcher, was chosen on the First Team. Second Team honors went to Charleston's Macey McElravy, a senior infielder and Mount Zion's Audrey Eades, a junior pitcher, and Kynzie Wrigley, a junior infielder.

Third Team members were Charleston's Ramsey Armstrong, a junior outfielder, Regan McGahey, a sophomore infielder and Emily Price, a junior pitcher. Representing Mount Zion was Ally Bruner, a senior pitcher.
