Hatchets Down Shelbyville In Softball

Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg High School claimed an 8-1 softball victory over Shelbyville Thursday.

 

WSS took a 3-0 opening inning lead and led 5-1 after three. The Hatchets then tacked on three runs in the sixth.

The Hatchets banged out 13 hits in the contest led by Mackenzi Tabbert with a single, home run and two RBI, Hannah Hayes, Calla Roney and Karlie Bean with a single and double each. Hayes and Roney had an RBI each. Mackinzee Reynolds and Katrina Davis had a double each. Davis added an RBI.

Schlechte picked up the pitching win on a five-hitter with two walks and three strikeouts.
