Effingham St. Anthony Junior High School has now played three games, and all three have been no-hitters.

The Bullpups came up with an 18-0 victory over Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City Monday and, once again, a no-hitter was thrown. This time by C. Rios who went three innings, allowed one walk and struck out five.

Meanwhile, St. Anthony had 10 hits led by L. Fearday with a home run and three RBI, S. Kibler with a single, double and three RBI, H. Niebrugge with a double and an RBI, M. Kibler with two singles and two RBI and R. Willenborg with two singles and two RBI.

At Teutopolis

Teutopolis edged Okaw Valley, 5-4 behind the 10-hit pitching.

The Shoes edged out to a 1-0 first inning lead then tacked on two in the third and one in the fifth. Okaw Valley scored two in the fifth and tied the game in the top of the seventh with two runs. The game went into the eighth and T-town scored the winning run in the bottom of the frame.

T-town had 10 hits led by Konkel, Gibson and Kremer with three hits each. Konkel and Gibson had two RBI each.

Courtney Gibson went 5.1 innings, allowing one hit, two runs, five walks and had five strikeouts. Emily Konkel picked up the win, going 2.2 innings, allowing two hits, two runs, six walks and five strikeouts.
