Teutopolis Wildcats Pick Up Junior SB League Crown

The Teutopolis Wildcats are the Girls Junior Softball League Tournament champions after action at Evergreen Hollow Park Wednesday.

In the opening game, Walk's Auto Body downed Effingham Express Care, 18-11.

The score was tied at 7-7 after the first inning. Walk's moved ahead 13-11 after two then tallied five more in the third.

Walk's had six hits led by Emma Thompson with two doubles and Rylea Hodge with three singles and three RBI.

Leading Express Care were Macie Hendrix with a triple and Klowee Conder with a double and an RBI.

In the championship game, the Wildcats defeated Walk's Auto Body 21-7.

The Wildcats had an 11-run inning in the third to push their lead to 15-3.

Abigail Wortman had double and two RBI while Isabella Hendrix had a double and an RBi. Summer Wall and Estelle Mette had three singles and two RBI each.

Olivia Hemmen threw a one-hitter. Kaydee Barton had the lone hit for Walk's with a single.
