Girls Prep Softball League Results -- July 9

Joe's Pizza & Pasta edged Crossroads Bank, 18-17 in Girls Prep Softball League action at Evergreen Hollow Park Monday.

The two teams were tied at 6-6 after one inning and 12-12 after two. Crossroads moved ahead 17-12 in the top of the third before Joe's tallied six in the bottom of the frame to pull out the win.

Camille Wines threw a no-hitter. Wines also had the lone hit of the game with a single and two RBI for the winners.

In the second contest, Fonner Oral Surgery bounced J&R Collision Center 17-7.

Fonner broke a 1-1 opening inning tie with a four-run second. Averie Wolfe threw a three-hitter.

Wolfe also led the way offensively with two singles while Alyssa Martin had a triple.

Mary Scheidemantel had a double and an RBI for J&R Collision.
