Girls Junior Softball League -- June 27

The Teutopolis Wildcats picked up a win over Effingham Express Care in Girls Junior Softball League play Wednesday at Evergreen Hollow Park.

The Wildcats took a 3-0 first inning lead then tacked on four in the second, two in the third and five in the fourth for the 14-4 win.

Kremer had two doubles and two RBI for the winners while Mette added a single, triple and two RBI, Wortman a triple and two RBI and Goeckner a double and two RBI. Jordan Goeckner threw a two-hitter.

Hendrix had the only two hits for Express Care with a single, double and two RBI.

In the second game, Sigel downed Walk's Auto Body 18-6. Sigel took an 8-3 opening inning lead and that was the game.

Kaylee Niebrugge pitched a one-hitter. Hotze had two singles, a double and an RBI while Deters added a single and three RBI.

The lone hit came from Jamison with a double and two RBI.

In the final game, the Teutopolis Royals pounded Walk's Auto Body, 23-9 in three innings. The Royals had three in the first, eight in the second and 12 in the third.

I. Hemmen had a single, two doubles, a triple and six RBI while Will added four singles, a home run and six RBI. Tebbe had three singles and two RBI, Wilkens two singles and an RBI and J. Hemmen two singles and two RBI.

Christy had a triple for Walk's while Traxler added a double and two RBI.
