Neoga Hands CHBC Softball Loss

NEOGA -- In the lone area softball game played Monday, Neoga High School downed Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City in National Trail Conference action, 9-3.

Neoga took a 5-3 lead in the third inning then tacked on three more runs in the fourth and one in the sixth.

The Indians had four hits and were aided by four CHBC errors. Makenzie Saunders and Jessica Atwell had a double each for Neoga. Saunders also had two singles and drove in four runs while Atwell had one RBI.

Elizabeth Titus picked up the pitching win on a three-hitter with 10 strikeouts.

CHBc had singles by Mykaela Dye, Zaryah Smith and Jenna Wojcik. Dye had two RBI and Wojcik one. The Bobcats drop to 1-3 in the NTC, 1-6 overall.
