Shelbyville High School edged Effingham St. Anthony, 3-2 in softball action Monday.
The Bulldogs held a 1-0 lead until the fifth inning. Shelbyville then tallied two runs. St. Anthony tied in the bottom of the fifth. The winning run came home in the top of the seventh for Shelbyville.
The Rams had 10 hits in the contest while St. Anthony had five. The Bulldogs were led by Katie Kabbes with a solo home run, Shea Kinkelaar with a triple and Karlee Roepke with a double.

Caroline Beckman picked up the pitching win for Teutopolis as the Wooden Shoes blanked Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City Monday, 11-0 in five innings.
Beckman threw three innings, allowing no hits, one walk and striking out eight. Allie Niebrugge came in to pitch two innings, allowing one hit, no walks and striking out five.
T-town had 12 hits in the contest led by Beckman with a single, home run and two RBI, Emma Deters with a double, home run and two RBI, Lauren Hemmen with a single, double and four RBI, Karsyn Mette with a double and an RBI and Marianna Hemmen and Alli Brumleve with two singles each.
CHBC's lone hit was a single by Jenna Wojcik.

Altamont held off St. Elmo/Brownstown for a 9-7 National Trail Conference victory Monday.
Altamont jumped out to a 4-0 first inning lead and led 6-0 after two and 9-4 going into the seventh. SEB mounted a comeback with three runs only to fall short.
Shelbi Stone had a double, triple and three RBI for the Indians while Tinley Mette had a double, triple and an RBI. Ashley Goeckner added a double. Altamont improves to 1-0 in the conference, 2-3 overall.
SEB was led by Natalie Oberlink with two home runs and five RBI, Makenzie Parkison with a triple and two RBI and Hailey Wright with two singles.

South Central took a 1-0 lead in the second inning, tacked on two in the third, four in the fifth and two in the seventh for a 9-2 win over Cisne Monday.
The Cougars had 11 hits in the contest. Sydnee Garrett had two singles and a double while Angelica River had a double and three RBI, Serina Lee a double, Kaylie Swift a triple and an RBI and Zoe Johnston two singles and an RBI.
South Central improves to 3-1 on the season.

Megan Schlechte threw a three--hitter as Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg picked up a National Trail Conference win over Neoga Monday, 6-0.
The Hatchets ran off to a 5-0 first inning lead then tacked on a single run in the second. Schlechte went all seven innings, allowing three walks and striking out four.
Taylor Rentfro had a home run and an RBI while Carson Cole added a double and an RBI and Hannah Hayes two singles and an RBI.
WSS remains unbeaten at 10-0 on the season while Neoga drops to 3-3.
Kelsey Partlow, Taylor Lee and Jaclyn Atwell had a hit each for Neoga.

Charleston pounded out 12 hits and took a 7-1 victory over Cumberland Monday.
The Trojans had three two-run innings in the third, fifth and sixth and scored one in the fourth.
Gordon went four-for-four with four singles and an RBI for the Trojans. McGahey hit a home run and had two RBI while McElravy had a single, home run and three RBI.
Cumberland was led by Madison Hendrix with two singles and Liberty Dunaway with a double and an RBI.
