Junior High Softball -- August 9

Effingham Junior High School continues to roll along.

The Mustangs handed Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg a 4-1 loss in softball action Wednesday.

WSS took a 1-0 lead in the third inning but the Mustangs came back with two in the fourth and tacked on two more in the sixth. Effingham had six hits led by Bushur with two singles. Beck picked up the pitching win on a three-hitter with four walks and 15 strikeouts.

Richards led Windsor/Stew-Stras with a double and an RBI.
