Walk's Auto Body took a one-run victory over Effingham Express Care in Girls Junior Softball League action Wednesday at Evergreen Hollow Park.

Effingham Express took a 1-0 first inning lead then tacked on a second run in the second and two runs to lead 4-0 in the top of the third. Walk's Auto Body came back with a four-run bottom of the inning to tie the score then tallied the winning run in the bottom of the fourth, 5-4.

Natalie Hayes had a single, double and an RBI for the winners while Hannah Hayes had a single, triple and two RBI.

Liz Way led Effingham Express with two doubles and three RBI while Kaylee Phillips had a single, double and an RBI.

In the second contest, Effingham Express Care came back to down J&R Collision Center 10-5. Express Care stepped out to a 2-0 first inning lead then had a four-run second, a three-run third and tallied a final run in the fifth.

Effingham Express banged out 18 hits in the contest led by Liz Day with aisngle, doubel and two  RBI, Paige Higgs with a double and an RBI, Jade Parsley and Grace HIbbits with three singles each. Parsley added an  RBI.

Madi Stortzum had a two-run homer for J&R Collision while Mackenzie Koester added a double.
