Junior High Softball Results -- Aug. 10

Effingham Junior High School trailed Stewardson-Strasburg/Windsor 4-0 until the third when the Mustangs tied the score then finished out with an 8-4 victory in softball action Wednesday.

The Mustangs tied the score then tallied a run in the fourth and three in the fifth. Effingham had nine hits led by Rothrock with a single, double and two RBI, Hardiek with two singles and an RBI and Davis with a double and an RBI.

Stew-Stras/Windsor was led by Bean with a single, double and two RBI and Hayes with a single and double.

Wittenberg picked up the pitching win, going 4.1 innings, allowing four hits, four runs, four walks and striking out nine. Davis came on to go 2.2 innings, allowing one hit and striking out three.
