The Premier Fastpitch 18U Paulson squad suffered its first loss at the National Tournament in Bloomington, Indiana Friday evening, 7-2 to Ohio Lasers.

The squad had won six straight to begin the tournament. There's now no margin for error as they head into action Saturday. Premier's next action will be at noon Eastern time. Their opponent, unknown at this point, has to win twice before playing Premier.

The loss is just the second of the season for PF against 44 wins. Premier will now have to win five times Saturday to win the championship.

Premier fell behind 6-0 by the third inning. A Kyleigh Decker home run and a run-scoring double by Bailey Martin accounting for the only runs of the contest for Premier.

As far as local Premier team members, Allison Apke doubled and Kadi Borries walked and scored on Martin's double.
