Premier Fastpitch Continues to Roll w/Friday Afternoon Win

The Premier Fastpitch 18U Paulson softball team remained undefeated in national tournament action Friday afternoon in Bloomington, Indiana.

PF posted an 8-3 win over Tennessee Ballhawks.

Premier scored three times in the second inning on a run-scoring double by Kadi Borries and RBI singles for Bailey Martin and Conner Cutright. Allison Apke homered in the third.

Bailey Martin continued to pad Premier's lead with an RBI double in the fourth and then a sacrifice fly in the sixth. Apke ended the scoring with an RBI double in the sixth.

Premier improves to 44-1 on the season, 6-0 in the nationals. They will play one more game today at 7pm Effingham time against Ohio Laser Blue. 

With no losses in the double-elimination tournament, Premier is three wins away from a national championship.

Among the local Premier contingent, Allison Apke homered and doubled and drove in two runs, Anni Borries singled twice and walked and scored, Kadi Borries doubled and singled and drove in a run and scored twice, and Jenna Woltman reached base via a walk.
