T-town Bounces Robinson in Softball

Teutopolis edged out to a 1-0 first inning lead then had an 11-run third to break the game wide open. The Wooden Shoes went on for a 16-3 softball victory over Robinson in five innings via the 10-run rule Thursday.

Kadi and Anni Borries celebrated their birthdays in big fashion for the Shoes. Kadi Borries banged out a single, two home runs and drove in eight runs while Anni Borries picked up the pitching win on a six-hitter with no walks and two strikeouts.

Also garnering multiple hits for the Shoes were Apke with a single, double, home run and four RBI, Repking with a single, double and an RBI, Brumleve with a single and double and Hemmen with two singles and an RBI.

The Wooden Shoes are now 26-3 on the season and will compete in the First Annual Alexis Fieldhouse High School Tournament Saturday. That tournament includes Moline, Normal U High, West Central and United (Monmouth). The Shoes will have three games in the tournament and the opening contest begins at 10 a.m.

T-town won the junior varsity game over Robinson, 3-1.

At Neoga

Neoga handed Shiloh a 6-3 loss in action Thursday.

Shiloh held a 1-0 lead after three and a 2-0 lead going into the fifth inning. Neoga then broke loose with four runs and tacked on two more in the sixth for a 6-3 victory.

Neece picked up the pitching win with three strikeouts. Neece also aided her own cause with a single, home run and an RBI. Estay had a single and double and Dryden two singles and an RBI.
