Paris Hands St. Anthony Softball Loss

One of the very few high school games that got played was Paris' 10-4 victory over Effingham St. Anthony in softball action Wednesday.

The Tigers stepped out to an 8-1 first inning lead and tallied the final two runs in the seventh. The Bulldogs scored single runs in the first, third, sixth and seventh innings.

Paris finished with 11 hits led by Roberts with five singles and two RBI, Sanders with three singles and three RBI and Gher with a single, double and two RBI.

St. Anthony had six hits. Jenna Woltman had a single and double while Laura Gurtner had a double.
