The Mattoon Premier Gold fastpitch softball team has to keep winning to keep playing at the ASA/USA National Tournament in Spartanburg, South Carolina. So far, they've been up to the task.

Premier won two more times Friday, 8-6 and 2-0, and are back in action this morning.

The 8-6 win was over MN Sting. The three Teutopolis members of the squad each contributed.

Anni Borries, moved to the leadoff spot because of another player's illness, had a hit and scored a run. Allison Apke had a hit, scored a run, and drove in two runs. Kadi Borries had a hit.

In the 2-0 win over NC Louisville Slugger, neither team scored until Premier posted both of their runs in the sixth inning on a two-run homer by Allison Apke. Anni Borries also had a hit in the contest.

Premier is also in action this morning, pulling the 8am game. If they keep winning, they'll play four more times today, and are looking at four games on Sunday to win the tournament.
