Effingham St. Anthony handed Decatur St. Teresa a 15-5 loss in softball action Wednesday evening.

The score was knotted at 1-1 in the third inning. St. Anthony then pushed ahead with a five-run fourth and went on for the victory.

The Bulldogs had 14 hits in the contest and was aided by eight St. Teresa errors. Woltman had two triples, a home run and four RBI. Niebrugge had a single, double and an RBI while Schuette had a single and triple. Mills contributed three singles and two RBI.

At St. Elmo

Ramsey headed out to a 4-0 lead in the top of the third but St. Elmo/Brownstown came back with five runs in the bottom of the frame and went on for an 8-4 victory.

"Baylee Scholes just continues to pitch well," said SEB Coach Tom Fedrigon. "She moved her pitches around enough to get outs. We had a bit of a concentraiton breakdown in the third inning but other than that, Baylee was really good and so was the defense behind her."

Morgan Brown had a triple for the winners.

Flora came calling and picked up a 10-0 win over South Central. The Wolves didn't score until the third then tallied three runs.

Abby King had two singles for South Central. The Cougars drop to 2-6 on the season.

Kaylee Carlen pitched a one-hitter as Cumberland picked up a 9-1 win over Villa Grove Wednesday.

Carlen improved her record to 8-0 with two walks and eight strikeouts.

Kyla Thornton and Carlen had two hits each. Carlen had two RBI and Thornton one RBI. The Pirates are 11-2 on the season.

Oblong scored the winning run in the bottom of the sixth to edge Neoga, 3-2 Wednesday.

Oblong held a 2-1 lead until the fifth when Neoga knotted the score at 1-1. Oblong then scored the winning run in the sixth.
