Effingham St. Anthony stepped out to a 4-0 first inning lead and went on to trounce Beecher City/Cowden-Herrick 20-0 in five innings Monday.

The Bulldogs had 12 hits in the contest. Schuette had two doubles and drove in three runs while Woltman had a double, triple and four RBI. Gardewine had a single, double and two RBI. Gurtner contributed two singles and an RBI.

Schuette picked up the pitching win on a two-hitter with six walks and four strikeouts. Pierce and Kirchhofer got singles for BCCH.

At Teutopolis

Casey-Westfield took a 1-0 first inning lead but T-town came back to tie the score in the second and take a 3-1 lead in the third. The Warriors tied in the top of the fifth but the Shoes came back with four runs in the bottom of the inning and went on for a 7-4 victory.

Kadi Borries hit a solo home run. Cowman had a single, double and an RBI. The Shoes are now 8-0 on the season. T-town also won the junior varsity contest 4-2.

Greenville jumped out to 5-0 first inning lead on St. Elmo/Brownstown and went on to end the game in the fifth, 15-3.

"In our first home game we were playing two starters short," said SEB Coach Tom Fredigon. "That is hard to make up for against a team like Greenville. We still need to sharpen up our defense."

Baylee Scholes and Sydney Moss had two singles each. SEB drops to 1-8.

Stewardson-Strasburg/Windsor took a 2-0 first inning lead and captured a 7-1 victory over South Central.

Kendall Knop had two singles for the winners and picked up the pitching win on a two-hitter with two walks and 11 strikeouts. Bayleigh Tabor had two singles and an RBI, Madison Everett two singles and two RBI and Madison Quast a single, two doubles and two RBI.

South Central was led by Mia Campbell with a single and double and Serina Lee with a double. The Cougars drop to 0-3.

Sullivan bounced Neoga to the tune of 20-0 in five innings Monday.

The Redskins stepped out to a 9-0 first inning lead and had 12 hits in the contest to improve to 4-3. Clements and Wall combined to pitch a no-hitter.

Neoga drops to 0-4 on the season.

Cumberland edged Paris 3-2. The score was knotted at 2-2 after three innings. But the Pirates tallied a single run in the fourth and that proved to be the winning run.

Kaylee Carlen picked up the pitching win to improve to 6-0. The Pirates are now 9-2 on the season.
