Effingham St. Anthony jumped out to a 6-0 first inning lead and went on to blank Beecher City/Cowden-Herrick 15-0 in four innings of junior high softball Thursday.

The Bulldogs had 12 hits in the contest. Kabbes had two singles, a home run and three RBI while Rogers had two singles, a double and three RBI. A. Day chipped in with two singles.

Sydney Lorton had the lone hit for BCCH with a single. K. Kabbes was the winning pitcher.

At St. Anthony

Casey-Westfield picked up a 13-8 win over Effingham .

Effingham held a 3-2 lead after two innings before Casey-Westfield broke away with a five-run third. The winners had 12 hits in the contest and was aided by seven Mustang errors.

Effingham had seven hits led by Morgan Krouse with two singles and Lauren Douthit with a triple and an RBI.

St. Elmo/Brownstown fell behind early, then couldn't get untracked in a 15-5 loss to Okaw Valley.

Okaw Valley led 3-0 after one and 5-1 after two then had a five-run third.

SEB had two hits, singles by Gathe and Oberlink. Gathe drove in a run.
