T-town Jr. High Softball Team Now 3-2 On Season

Teutopolis Junior High School claimed a 12-2 victory in five innings over Okaw Valley in softball action in Monday action. Alli Brumleve was the winning pitcher.

In Tuesday night competition, T-town was a 17-2 winner over Beecher City/Cowden-Herrick in four innings. Allie Niebrugge picked up the pitching win.

The Shoes competed in the Cumberland Tournament last weekend and fell to Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg 14-3. T-town lost to Cumberland 16-1 but finished out the tourney with a 6-3 win over Effingham St. Anthony.

T-town is now 3-2 on the season and returns to action Thursday at Effingham in a 4 p.m. doubleheader.

At Altamont

Casey-Westfield handed Altamont a 13-5 loss in action Tuesday evening. Altamont held a 3-2 lead in the third before Casey-Westfield pushed ahead 5-2 in the top of the fourth and never looked back.

Altamont had seven hits in the contest led by Shyrock with two singles and an RBI and Mayhaus with a single, double and an RBI.
