Altamont Cruises to Cumberland Sectional Championship

The Altamont Lady Indians are super-sectional bound after posting a 12-run third inning to defeat Oblong 15-0 and capture the Cumberland 1A Sectional.  The game was heard on KJ Country 102.3 and www.kjcountry.com.  

The game was scoreless after two before Altamont began their huge third inning.  They added three more runs in the fourth to post the final margin in the five-inning contest.

Much of the third inning damage came with two outs.  Lauren White got a two-out hit to make it 4-0, and back-to-back home runs extended the advantage to 9-0.  We'll have additional details later.

Altamont advances to Monday Super-Sectional action at 4:30pm at Springfield Sacred Heart-Griffin High School against Camp Point Central.  Hear Monday's game on KJ Country 102.3 and www.kjcountry.com.
