Eastern's Adam Howarth Resigns As Soccer Coach

CHARLESTON, Ill. – Eastern Illinois Director of Athletics Barbara Burke has announced Adam Howarth has resigned his position as the head men’s soccer coach at the university.

Howarth recently completed his 14thseason as the Panthers head coach in 2013 as the Panthers completed their third season a member of The Summit League. Howarth is an EIU alumnus having played for the Panthers from 1989-92.

“I would like to thank Coach Howarth for his service to the Eastern Illinois men’s soccer program not only as a former player but as the head coach for the last 14 seasons,”said Burke. “We wish Adam and his family the best in their future endeavors.”

Howarth compiled a 90-140-23 record during his career including a pair of 12 win seasons in 2000 and 2007.

Current assistant coach Mark Hansen will take over day-to-day duties of the program through the spring.
