Charleston Puts Damper on Hearts' Senior Night

(THE 2013 EFFINGHAM HEARTS SOCCER TEAM)

Charleston blanked Effingham 2-0 Tuesday on Senior Night for the soccer Hearts.

Rhett Hallett and Isaac Dallas each scored in the first half to settle the game.  Dalton Steele for Effingham and Drew Smith for Charleston each had five saves.  Effingham had eight shots, five on goal, while Charleston had five shots on goal.

Effingham is now 10-7-3 on the season.

EHS senior players recognized Tuesday include Austin Wenthe, Phil Knight, Andrew Knight, Jason Pike, Parth Maheshwari, Dalton Steele, Austin Robertson, Logan Weis, Nate Jakubowski and Stephanie Lopez.

Charleston also won the JV game 2-0.
