Effingham Varsity Loses, Effingham JV Wins at Red and Gold Tourney Friday

Charleston defeated Effingham 3-0 in varsity action Friday at the Charleston Red and Gold Tournament, but Effingham's JV squad posted a 3-1 victory over Charleston.

Taylor Garrett scored twice and Miles Farthing once to account for Charleston's goals in the varsity match. 

Effingham is now 1-1 in the tournament and on the season.

In the JV match, Vicente Olmos, Synne Christiansen and Jacob Gadberry scored goals to key the Effingham win, and Luis Ramos registered two assists.

Effingham's JV squad is also 1-1 in the tournament and on the season.

Effingham vs. Teutopolis at noon on Field Two

JV--Red Pool

Charleston vs. Mattoon at 1:30pm on Field One
