The Knights traveled to Marion April 30-May 1 to play in the Marion Whirlwind Soccer Tournament, and this particular weekend it definitely earned its name.

The Knights traveled with their 14U and 11U teams to compete, with lots of rain in the forecast and wind gusts up 30-35 mph.

"It was a very challenging tournament," said Coach Eric Morales. "The 11U team went three wins and one tie, going 4-1, 3-3, 3-0, 3-2 taking first place in their division. The 14u Knights also had a great tournament going 2-1-1, taking their games 3-0, 2-2, 2-0, 1-2 taking second place in their division.  Overall it was a great tournament, rain held off, but the wind was very mighty and rough."

Last weekend the Knights traveled to Robinson taking three of their four teams for competition. The Knights first played against Robinson's 18u team as the Knights took the win 7-0. The 14U Knights then took the pitch also taking the win 7-0 over Robinson.

"Finally the 11U got warmed up to play against Robinson's 12U," said Morales. "Great action back and forth on a beautiful Saturday afternoon, with the Knights taking the win 6-2.

"All three teams played fantastic and competed very well.  The 11U and 14U Knights will travel to Missouri this weekend to participate in the Southern Spring Classic.  Best of luck to the Knights this weekend."
