The U14 Knights played hosts to Marshall 14U in soccer action Saturday.

"The weather was amazing for the last regular season home game," said Coach Eric Morales. "On this day the Knights came to play on all cylinders and blanked Marshall 13-1."

The U14 Knights next action will be in Cape Girardeau, Mio for a two-day tournament.

On Sunday, the 12U Knights traveled to New Baden for the New Baden Booster Halloween Tournament.

"It was another beautiful day with no rain, but the wind definitely played a huge factor throughout the whole tournament," said Morales. "In group play the Knights went 4-2 vs. Barteslo, 2-2 vs. Breese Tornadoes, and 4-2 vs. Mobile.

"That advanced us to the championship game with the most points in group play. We then moved to play the Aviston Eagles for the championship, beating them in a hard first half battle 4-1.

"The Knights played a fantastic tournament, despite the strong gusts of wind all day and playing four games in one day. They came together and played fantastic.  Big thanks to all the parents for coming out and supporting us.

The Knights next action will also be in Cape Girardeau, Mo for a two-day tournament.
